STEVEN WATTS

Hello, I’m Steven Watts, joint Regional Officer for the Surrey Region, covering all GU postcodes. I have always been “car mad”, I think it stems from my Dad running a fleet of taxis, mostly Food Zodiacs Mk II’s all in white, which I used to wash for pocket money! My affair with Mercedes began through the company car route, with the brand being about quality and status which probably fitted my elevated view of myself at the time! Over the years I have had C’s and E classes then got into SL’s, owning several R129’s, (including a Silver Arrow), a R230 SL 55 AMG (amazing but had its issues) and ending with a R231 which was so reliable by comparison. I now have a 1993 C124 320CE in Pearl Blue. I’m the third Club member owner of Pearl and she is my daily driver, event car and has taken my wife and me on three European tours so far. Not bad for an old girl with over 190K miles (the car that is)! With Joe, my joint RO, we plan a regular Surrey monthly meet as well as some country drives, show events and interesting visits.
